Use FundingTracker in Claude and ChatGPT

FundingTracker works inside Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Ask about a merchant cash advance in plain English and the assistant answers with FundingTracker's calculators, funder directory and guides. Sign in and it can also read your own deals, balances, payments and alerts.

Access to your account is read-only. The assistant can't add, change or delete anything in it, and it can't move money.

What it can do without an account

  • MCA factor rate to APR (calculate_mca_apr): Convert a merchant cash advance factor rate into total payback, cost of capital, payment size, number of payments and effective APR. Daily payments are business days (21 per month, 252 per year); weekly is 4.33 per month. APR discounts each payment to present value, the same formula as the FundingTracker MCA calculator.
  • MCA payoff estimate (estimate_mca_payoff): Estimate the remaining balance, payments left and projected payoff date of a merchant cash advance from the advance amount, factor rate, amount already paid and the daily or weekly payment. Remaining balance = total payback - amount paid; daily payments skip weekends.
  • MCA payment cash-flow impact (mca_payment_impact): Measure how heavy an MCA payment is against average daily revenue: daily-equivalent payment, % of daily revenue, weekly and monthly outflow, and a risk level (high at 30%+, medium at 15%+, otherwise low).
  • Search the funder directory (search_funders): Search FundingTracker's public directory of merchant cash advance and business financing providers by name, description or financing type (e.g. MCA, Term Loan, SBA Loan, Line of Credit). Filter by min_max_deal (largest deal at least this many USD), payments (daily, weekly or monthly) and works_with_isos. Returns each funder's slug, profile link, merchant review rating and its listed facts: type (direct funder or broker), max deal, payment schedules, ISO brokers and states.
  • Get a funder profile (get_funder): Get one funder's public profile from the FundingTracker directory by slug: financing type, description, website, its listed facts (type, max deal, payment schedules, ISO brokers, states), average merchant rating, review count and the most recent public reviews.
  • Request a funder directory listing (request_funder_listing): Ask FundingTracker to list a funding company (direct funder, ISO/broker or other) in its public funder directory, or to update the facts of a company already listed: max deal, payment schedules, whether it works with ISO brokers, and states served. No sign-in needed; use it only for a company the user represents. FundingTracker emails a confirmation link to contact_email, which should be at the company website's domain (another domain gets a closer review). Nothing is published until that link is opened and FundingTracker approves the listing. Returns the request status, e.g. waiting for email confirmation. One open request per website; rate-limited.
  • Search MCA guides (search_mca_guides): Search FundingTracker's merchant cash advance guides (payment tracking, remaining balance, factor rates, daily ACH debits, stacking, consolidation, contract review). Returns titles, short answers and links; call get_mca_guide for the full text.
  • Read an MCA guide (get_mca_guide): Return the full text of one FundingTracker MCA guide as markdown, with its canonical URL, key takeaways, sections, checklist and FAQs.
  • About FundingTracker (about_fundingtracker): What FundingTracker.app is, who it is for, what it tracks, how bank data and contracts are handled, and links to its key public pages.

Calculator results are estimates from the numbers you give. They are not a funder's payoff letter or financial advice.

What it can read after you sign in

  • List my deals (list_my_deals): List the signed-in user's deals in FundingTracker (merchant cash advances, loans, lines of credit): funder, financing type, amounts, amount paid, remaining balance, payment amount and frequency, and projected payoff date.
  • Get one of my deals (get_my_deal): Get one of the signed-in user's deals by id (from list_my_deals): its contract terms, balance, projected payoff and recent recorded payments, including bank debits matched to it.
  • List my alerts (list_my_alerts): List the alerts FundingTracker recently sent the signed-in user, such as missed payments, extra or unexpected debits, upcoming payment reminders and payoff milestones, newest first.

The first time the assistant needs your account, it asks you to connect. You sign in to FundingTracker and approve read-only access on our consent page. Only the account you sign in with is shared.

Your data

  • When you use these tools, FundingTracker sends the assistant only the result of that tool: for example your deal list, one deal's recent payments, or your recent alerts. The assistant's provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) handles it under their own privacy policy.
  • FundingTracker never receives your conversation, only the inputs of each tool call.
  • An approved connection lasts until you disconnect it or it goes unused for 90 days. Access tokens expire after an hour.
  • To disconnect, use Settings > Security > Connected Apps in FundingTracker, or remove FundingTracker from your assistant's connectors or apps.

See the Privacy Policy for how FundingTracker handles your data.
